Technical Application

The GE cPCI-5565PIORC provides a high-speed, low-latency deterministic interface that allows data to be shared between up to 256 independent systems. Each module contains 256 MB of on-board SDRAM, enabling fast reads of stored data. The module stores written data to the local SDRAM and transfers the data to other reflective memory nodes via a high-speed fibre-optic data path. The data transfer between nodes is software transparent and therefore does not consume processor resources.The GE CPCI-5565PIORC offers a variety of composition architectures that allow computers, workstations, PLCs, and other embedded controllers to share data in real time.
